CME Credit

Continuing Medical Education Credit

The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Credit may be claimed online beginning July 21, 2023. Additional details will be emailed to registrants at that time.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Implement an effective evaluation algorithm, based on recent research, for musculoskeletal and medical sports medicine conditions through an arthroscopic surgery lens.
  2. Assess and apply surgical and non-surgical treatment recommendations and rehabilitation protocols for the diagnosis and clinical management of joint disorders in athletes.
  3. Review and implement new minimally invasive techniques for the management of shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow pathology.
  4. Integrate prevention strategies with healthcare team(s) to improve musculoskeletal and medical health in their patient population.

Continuing Education for Athletic Trainers

The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) (BOC AP#: P460) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education for Athletic Trainers.

General Scientific Sessions

This program is eligible for a maximum of 17.50 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Physician Assistant Credit

Programs approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by an ACCME accredited provider such as AOSSM will count toward PA certification maintenance requirements.
