The Annual Meeting will take place at the Walter E Washington Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC from July 13-16, 2023. Unless otherwise noted, meetings and events will take place at these locations.

Your safety is our top priority. We will continue to work closely with all our partners and venues to create a safe and healthy environment for all and will abide by federal, state, and local mandates at the time of the meeting, collaborating with our service partners to ensure appropriate measures are in place.
At this time, AOSSM will not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result to enter any venues at AOSSM official meetings and events.
In addition, masks will not be required. However, participants should feel comfortable doing what is best for their personal well-being. Masks will be available on-site by request.
If any last-minute changes are required, we will announce at the meeting.

Each registration fee includes all group continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, receptions, registration materials, exhibit hall, and general and concurrent educational sessions. Lunch is provided for all attendees in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m.

No, hotel rooms can be booked at the AOSSM discounted rate before registering for the meeting. We encourage booking in advance as hotel rooms fill up fast. You can safely make your reservation through ConferenceDirect, the only official hotel partner of the AOSSM 2023 Annual Meeting.
Please be aware: any other third-party offers of hotel booking assistance or discounted rates are most likely fraudulent, and AOSSM cannot guarantee your hotel reservations upon arrival.

No, there is an additional fee for all Instructional Courses, which can be added during online registration or later by modifying your existing registration.

Business casual is encouraged; however, we recommend checking the weather forecasts in advance. Remember that convention centers and hotels often are kept at colder temperatures.

WiFi will be available throughout all meeting spaces at the Marriott Marquis and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Yes, guests will need to be added to your registration. During the online process, select the “Guest” functionality prior to checking out. Guests will be allowed access to the opening reception, family party, and the presidential guest speaker. Additional tickets can be added to your registration for the Welcome Reception and Family Event if they are attending with you. Any guests under 21 years old must be accompanied by an adult. You can add guests and/or guest tickets for events at any time after completing your registration by returning to the Resource Center.

There is no age limit; however, those under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.

Physician nonmembers who qualify as Active or MD Affiliate member types with a paid registration. You will receive instructions via email within two business days of completing your nonmember meting registration. If you have never been a member of AOSSM before, you may need to complete a membership application. The $150 fee will be waived. Once your membership is approved, you’ll receive immediate access to your benefits. Your membership will expire Dec. 31, 2022. You will be invited to renew at the regular dues cost in the fall. If you cancel your meeting registration before the published deadline, you may choose whether to suspend your membership or subtract dues from your refund.

You may pick up your badge at the Marriott Marquis or the Walter E Washington Convention Center during posted registration hours. It is recommended that you bring your email confirmation along with you to expedite the badge printing process. Meeting Badges will not be mailed in advance.

Registration Cancellation
If a registrant cancels their registration for the AOSSM 2023 Annual Meeting, the following goes into effect:
Registrations, less a $150 processing fee, are refundable only if a cancellation notice is submitted to [email protected] on or before Friday, June 16, 2023. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Registration fees for cancellations received after Friday, June 16, 2023 are not refundable.
Please note: Registration cancellations will not automatically cancel your hotel reservation. Any changes to your hotel reservation will need to be made directly through the AOSSM official designated hotels here.
Hotel Changes and Cancellations
Reservations may be cancelled, or arrival and departure dates may be changed, until Wednesday, June 21, 2023 without charge. After this date, your credit card will be charged a one (1) night's room and tax deposit which is non-refundable. Guests who no-show, cancel, or reduce their dates less than 72 hours prior to check in will be charged one nights room and tax.
Changes can be made directly through the AOSSM official designated hotels here.
Please note: Cancelling your hotel reservation does not automatically cancel your meeting registration. To cancel your meeting registration, please submit your request to [email protected].

AOSSM reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the AOSSM 2023 Annual Meeting or any related programs. Should the AOSSM 2023 Annual Meeting be cancelled, your registration fees will be refunded in full. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of the AOSSM 2023 Annual Meeting, AOSSM has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer the registration to the same meeting at the new, future date. AOSSM will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s travel expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of the meeting. Attendees are encouraged to purchase personal travel insurance.
